Malika Essentials was born from a deeply personal journey rooted in care, curiosity, and the search for natural ways to support wellbeing. As a family, we were drawn to the wisdom of nature during a time when life asked us to slow down, reflect, and find strength in more mindful ways of living.
Facing a profound health journey within our family transformed how we viewed self-care, balance, and resilience. It was during this chapter that we discovered the grounding, supportive power of essential oils—not as a trend, but as meaningful tools that helped nurture calm, clarity, and connection during moments when it mattered most.
As we continued learning, we realized that access to high-quality, therapeutic products often came with high costs or unnecessary barriers. Determined to create something different, we pursued formal studies and training in aromatherapy and natural wellness, committing ourselves to knowledge, integrity, and conscious formulation.
Malika Essentials was created with the intention of offering products that are pure, thoughtfully crafted, and accessible—without hidden memberships, exaggerated claims, or compromises in quality. Our ingredients are carefully sourced from small communities around the world, honoring both the people behind them and the land they come from.

A mechanical method of pressing citrus peels such as lime, lemon, bergamot, orange, and grapefruit, to remove the essential oils. The method uses pressure to physically squeeze the oil from the plant tissue.
Hydro distillation is a traditional technique that uses water or steam for the extraction of flavonoids and other compounds. There are three types of hydro distillation: water distillation, water-steam
distillation, and steam distillation.
A process that separates distilling water with other volatile and non-volatile components. The steam from the boiling water carries the vapor of the volatiles to a condenser; both are cooled and return to the liquid or solid state. The non-volatile residues remain behind in the boiling container.
To begin the process, oil seeds are removed of impurities and dried to reduce moisture content. Next, the seeds are cracked for size reduction and flattened to form flakes, which increases the surface area to facilitate easier extraction. Then the solvent is evaporated from the oil solvent mixture and from the defatted flakes by exposing them to steam.
The oil, which is devoid of the solvent undergoes further processing to achieve the desired quality.
